Ricky Dickason knows that successful students become successful adults. Having two adult daughters of her own, Ricky is able to witness how vital this philosophy really is. Using this same teaching philosophy Ricky has proved to be a highly professional teacher for 35 years.

Career

Having gained momentous experience for close on 10 years in the United Arab Emirates at a private institution, Ricky can now bring this valuable experience to our institution. Her specialty is Foundation Phase Teaching where she is passionate about developing inquisitive and enquiring young minds and hearts.

Outside of the classroom, Ricky enjoys nature and what it has to offer. Coming from a coastal city, hugged by the ocean in sunny South Africa means that given the opportunity, she will gladly spend some time basking in natures goodness.

Ricky has a witty sense of humour and loves to converse and laugh with friends whilst sharing a festive meal.

Education

She completed her teaching studies at The University of Bloemfontein in South Africa.

In the classroom is where Ricky shines, she is an incredibly competent teacher who pours her heart and soul into her profession. Ricky prides herself in having a professional yet personal report with each of her students making the learning not only fun and engaging but lifelong. Constant research and self- reflection are what Ricky believes makes for a great teacher hence her passion for researching educational psychology to ensure that each individual student develops optimally.
