UNIST representatives ran workshops for Invento students

Summer at Invento the Uzbek International School gave children a chance not only to enjoy the holidays, but to discover modern technology and science through a partnership with UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) — one of South Korea’s leading research universities.

UNIST is one of Asia’s most innovative universities, known for research in artificial intelligence, robotics, biomedicine, engineering and physics. Specialists and students from UNIST joined Invento’s Summer School with a rich educational programme.
During the week, Summer School participants attended hands-on workshops in robotics, programming, modern technology and scientific experiments.

Instead of traditional lectures, children carried out their own research, solved problems, built projects and learned how discoveries are born in world-class laboratories.

This format fully matches the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate (IB), where learning is built through inquiry, practice and finding one’s own solutions. Children learn to ask questions, experiment, work in a team and apply knowledge.

The UNIST workshops were a highlight of the programme, but not the only one. Summer School also offers creative studios: handmade crafts, drawing and ceramics, where children make clay pieces and develop imagination, fine motor skills and visual thinking.

English has a special place in the programme. Instead of ordinary classroom lessons, children use the language in games, joint projects and everyday conversation, so English becomes a natural part of the day.

And of course summer would not be complete without the swimming pool. This is where children unwind after a full day, make new friends and collect their brightest memories.

Throughout the day participants receive four balanced meals, which help them keep energy for lessons, creativity and sport.
