Learning at AC
The learning at INVENTO UIS takes place entirely in English
except for Russian and Uzbek language classes. Inquiry-based
learning, authentic materials, and interconnected learning increase the
engagement of our students and empower them to learn deeply. We meet and extend the requirements of the Uzbek
national curriculum under the IB framework.

PYP Programme of Inquiry
This is the curriculum articulation of our National and IB requirements. It is the framework through which subjects' contents, concepts, and skills are integrated and scaffolded to ensure that our students are adequately equipped for the MYP.
The culminating learning opportunity is the Grade 5 Exhibition, which is student-led and provides them to lead their inquiry and share it with the whole school community.
MYP curriculum overview
Middle-year students study disciplines within a global context; teachers also provide opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and aligning units of study to increase connections between subject areas.
In the MYP, there are nine (9) core courses in which students will participate.
At the end of our first year at Ashgabat campus, our MYP Science Fair was an excellent opportunity for all our students to showcase their year-long learning in the wide world of science.
Language and Literature
In this course, students study the complexity of language in all its forms. Students interact with texts in various genres by analyzing the author's craft and producing organized texts.
Language Acquisition
Students study additional languages and the culture of that languages in this course. They generally begin from a very low or beginner level, and with intentional practice and engaging activities, a student moves through the phases of acquiring a language.
Individuals and Societies
This course focuses on how individuals and communities interact with one another and their environment. Students understand how a place's geography affects its people's development. Deep questions are asked to understand patterns of human behavior and interactions.
Mathematics
Mathematics is used to develop analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills. These skills lead to critical thinking with a focus on the logic. Mathematics in the MYP helps students develop skills for understanding and explaining the world precisely.
Science
Through inquiry, curiosity, and ingenuity, learners develop an understanding of the nature of their world and beyond. Students engage in investigations through research and experimentation in biology, chemistry, and physics. Students focus on formulating their questions and finding answers to those questions.
Arts
At IUIS, visual arts are explored through experimentation and reflection on progress. Students learn to broaden their outlook on life by looking at the world and themselves differently.
Design
The Design course allows students to develop an appreciation of how the intentional application of process leads to significant innovations. Students use technical and creative skills to create new products that can solve real problems. There is a focus on the impact of designs on the environment and others.
Interdisciplinary Learning
Connecting between subjects is essential for a lasting and authentic understanding of the MYP subjects. As the world is increasingly interconnected, students need to see how the content they learn is also connected. Students participate in interdisciplinary units every year to show their understanding of how knowledge can be applied in various situations in creative and critical ways.
Physical and Health Education
Through active learning, students are motivated to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes to help them make healthy life choices.
