Middle Years Programme (MYP)

INVENTO the Uzbek International School is a Candidate School* for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education that INVENTO UIS believes is important for students.

(*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org)

As a MYP candidate school, INVENTO UIS follows the MYP framework around the Uzbek national curriculum content. In the MYP, learners are well aware of the learning outcomes for their year group in the subject area for the unit to make appropriate goals for improving their skills and knowledge. Learning in the MYP is authentic, engaging, and rewarding.

Middle-year students study disciplines within a global context; teachers also provide opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and align units of study to increase connections between subject areas.

Middle Years Programme (MYP)

In the MYP, there are nine core courses:

Language and Literature (Uzbek, Russian, and English)
Language Acquisition (Uzbek, Russian, and English)
Mathematics
Science
Individuals and Societies
Design
Visual Arts
Physical and Health Education
Interdisciplinary Unit.

MYP teachers design compelling and formative tasks by using IB objectives and learning outcomes. Learners will engage in tasks in various ways to demonstrate understanding, learning, and growth throughout the unit. Teachers observe learners and analyze their learning outcomes to support their growth and report on learners’ abilities against these learning outcomes.
