Invento School aligns its MYP delivery with ibo.org recommendations, making it “a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.”
Students are taught for at least 50 hours per subject group per year of the programme. In years 4 and 5, students have the option to take courses from six of the eight subject groups within certain limits, to provide greater flexibility in meeting local requirements of Uzbekistan and individual student learning needs.
At Invento, we pay special attention to integrating and aligning our curriculum with local requirements and employ local curriculum coordinators to ensure the smooth and meaningful integration of these requirements.
Upon completion of the MYP, students receive an official certificate recognizing their academic achievements and the successful completion of the Personal Project, which is valued by international schools and universities. They then transition into the IB Diploma Programme — a challenging two-year course that builds academic depth and prepares students for higher education.
The curriculum includes 8 subject groups and integrates key interdisciplinary concepts through global contexts. An essential component of the program is the Personal Project, which helps students develop skills in planning, research, and presentation.
The MYP subject groups include:
Students participating in the MYP:
Within the framework of the MYP, we provide students with an Interdisciplinary Approach, helping them to make connections between the subjects and encouraging multidisciplinarity through activities, assessments, and inquiry-based learning. The latter develops students' critical-thinking skills through explorations, asking questions, and actively seeking responses to their inquiries.
Invento focuses on helping students understand and internalise concepts, as opposed to memorising facts. We encourage students to enrich their conceptual understanding by linking facts on top of concepts and not the other way around.
At Invento, we strongly believe that assessment is an integral part of learning and thus emphasize diverse, authentic forms of assessments such as projects, performances, portfolios, models, and products in addition to tests and examinations.
We are proud to be the Uzbek International School and focus on developing a truly global outlook in our students, through attention and inquiries into the local environment of Tashkent and Uzbekistan.
In MYP classes, students regularly present project findings, debate global issues, and use subject-specific language to express complex ideas.
Through group tasks like science investigations or interdisciplinary projects, learners develop the ability to plan together, divide roles, and reach shared goals.
Whether evaluating the credibility of sources in Individuals & Societies or designing experiments in Science, students practice analyzing, connecting, and generating ideas across contexts.
From formulating inquiry questions to documenting sources in a Personal Project, MYP students learn to investigate deeply and responsibly.
Using tools like the MYP planner and learner portfolio, students learn to manage deadlines, track their growth, and reflect on feedback for improvement.
These core ATL skills are continuously applied across subjects, enabling students to engage in meaningful inquiry, solve problems creatively, and express their understanding in diverse formats.
